About me
Kristin Waller is a native of Indiana, attending Butler University and earning a Bachelor's of Science in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the Lacy School of Business in 2000. She was a four-year letter winner in track and field. Seeking better weather, Kristin attended the University of Georgia School of Law receiving her Juris Doctor in 2003. She served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Samuel D. Ozburn in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit. Throughout her career, she has served in prosecutorial and public defender offices in Illinois, and the Western and Piedmont Circuits, in 2023 she took a hiatus from public service and engaged in civil litigation at Epps, Holloway, Deloach, and Hoipkemier. She has experience pursuing appeals in the Georgia Court of Appeals and has argued before the Supreme Court of Georgia. Kristin has a passion for serving her family and community. She is the number one fan of her husband and three children supporting them in all they endeavor to achieve. She is a follower of all things collegiate athletics and partial to the Georgia and Butler Bulldogs. Her community service has included service on the Finance Board at the University of Georgia Catholic Center, serving as a member of the board of directors of the YWCO in Athens, membership in the Oconee County Warrior Marching Band Boosters, and coaching middle school track and field and OCPD basketball. In May, 2025 she returned to the Georgia Public Defender’s Council as the Circuit Public Defender for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit.
