2026 Summer Public Defense Conference

Lyndsey Hix is a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and a 2004 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. She has been the Chief Assistant Public Defender for the Augusta Judicial Circuit Law Office of the Public Defender since 2021. In that role, she is responsible for training and onboarding new staff and attorneys, supervising State Court and Juvenile Court attorneys, and representing clients in Superior and State Court. Lyndsey is a career public defender, having joined the Augusta Circuit in August 2007. She lives in Augusta with her husband and teenage son.
