Natalie Glaser is a Deputy Director and the Chief Legal Officer for the Georgia Public Defender Council. Ms. Glaser advises the Agency regarding any legal, policy or legislative matters. She also oversees the Training Division, the Capital Division, the Conflict Division, the Appellate Division, and all attorney contracts. She has served in that role for nearly 6 years. Prior to this she worked as the Circuit Public Defender for the Conasauga Judicial Circuit and prior to that she was an Assistant Public Defender in the Dublin Judicial Circuit.
Natalie serves as a coordinator and faculty member of the Transition into Law Practice Program for new Public Defenders in Georgia and has served as a faculty member for the National Public Defender Association Emerging Leaders Institute. She has tried and won all types of cases such as Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Murder, Manufacturing Marijuana, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Violation of Gang Act, Possession with Intent, and DUI. She has won four interlocutory appeals and writes Amicus Curiae briefs on behalf of GPDC.
She holds a JD from Case Western Reserve University, a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Georgia, and an AB in English from the University of Georgia. She is a graduate of the Certified Public Manager Program at the Carl Vinson Institute. She is also certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests from NHTSA and is a graduate of the Summer Session at Harvard for NCDD.
