Shaveena Rogers is a Criminal Defense Investigator II with the Youth Advocacy Division of the Georgia Public Defender Council. Based in Atlanta, Shaveena Rogers brings extensive experience supporting indigent youth and Major felony cases across Georgia’s judicial circuits through thorough investigative work, strategic case development, and a deep commitment to equitable defense. Her work routinely bridges clients, attorneys, and community resources to ensure that they receive comprehensive, compassionate legal representation.Before joining GPDC, Shaveena served 9 1/2 years with the Fulton County Sheriff office, where she developed specialized investigative skills, strong case-fact analysis abilities, and a deep understanding of the criminal justice system's operational structure. With a background in criminal justice and specialized investigations in public defense, she is known for her collaborative approach, her ability to uncover critical case details. She contributes to professional development efforts within GPDC, including statewide conferences designed to elevate and strengthening her dedication to defender investigation standards and cross‑circuit partnership/teams.Committed to empowering both colleagues and clients, she continues to serve as a vital resource within the Youth Advocacy Division, advancing best practices in defense investigation and supporting the next generation of public defense professionals
