Janet Vogelsang, LISW-CP, BCD, is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 45 years of clinical experience. She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Pepperdine University.
Janet began her career in Los Angeles County, where she worked with justice-involved youth and helped develop programs for adolescents involved in serious offenses. She later returned to South Carolina, where she established a private practice in Greenville specializing in biopsychosocial assessments, clinical consultation, and expert testimony in state and federal courts.
She has served as president of the South Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work and the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She is also a former member of the South Carolina Crime Victims Advisory Board and has received multiple professional honors, including Social Worker of the Year and the University of South Carolina College of Social Work Alumna of the Year.
Janet continues to conduct biopsychosocial assessments and teach professionals about family history, trauma, resilience, and the use of social history in legal proceedings.
