Whitney Hammons is a dedicated Criminal Defense Investigator with the Fulton County Office of the Public Defender, where she has served for the past twelve (12) years. Her commitment to public defense began even earlier when she served as the Lead Investigative Intern during the summer of 2008. Throughout her career, Whitney has remained passionate about ensuring every client is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect while advocating for justice through thorough and compassionate investigation.Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Whitney is deeply connected to her community both professionally and personally. She considers her greatest accomplishments to be her rewarding career and being the proud mother of two children, Cameron, age 14, and Alorah, who is 5 months old.Beyond her work, Whitney is an active volunteer through her church, serving with the Trinity Feed the Homeless outreach and the S.I.N.G.L.E.S. Ministry, which stands for Saved Individuals Navigating God's Layout Expectantly. Her faith and commitment to serving others are central to her life and inspire her work both inside and outside the courtroom.When she's not working or volunteering, Whitney enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and watching The First 48. Whether she is advocating for clients, serving her community, or spending time with her family, Whitney is driven by a deep belief in justice, compassion, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
